Alex is a current CCIM and a former CPM®. Determination and dedication are two of his greatest assets as demonstrated by his having negotiated over 1,000,000 SF of leases, managed several million square feet of office and industrial properties and has been involved in the development of several hundred thousand square feet of Class A office and industrial properties. Recently, Alex has conducted searches for large acreage parcels throughout the state of Texas on behalf of international and national clients.
Alex enjoys helping newcomers in the field and has proudly mentored UTSA students for their Capstone Course in the Real Estate and Finance department. He has also shared his experience and knowledge as a judge for the UTSA John Vogel Capstone Course Competition several times.
The sale of a resort island in Belize is definitely one of his most unique accomplishments. However, one of the most meaningful, to him as an individual, has been sponsoring a young child in Uganda in the early ’90s from first grade through technical school. That young man is now an entrepreneur and a businessman with his own surveying business.
Alex Yount is one of a kind; he has a rare blood type commonly referred to as “Baby’s Blood” used for premature, compromised babies, and cancer patients. His noble spirit has donated over 50 lifetime units to those in need.
He enjoys country music and classic rock and has been a drummer for several rock bands, church choirs, and orchestras. Music has played a substantial role for him and his wife Brenda of 31 years. Their love for music is now inherited by two of their three children, who currently work as professional musicians.
Alex is also a proud member of The Boerne Chamber of Commerce.
